The Joint Cyber Security Centre (JCSC) is an initiative of the Australian Government’s Cyber Security Strategy and is led by the Attorney-General’s Department, CERT Australia. I was asked to give a presentation to JCSC partners to assist them with the preparation of their cyber defenses for the GC2018 Gold Coast Commonweath Games. The JCSC attendees were from the business, government, and academia, sectors. The Federal Minister for Justice, the Hon Michael Keenan, and Mr. Trevor Evans MP, Federal Member for Brisbane, also made an appearance at the event.
I was pleased to have received so many good questions following the presentation, and also so much positive feedback. I got the impression that the JCSC partners are very engaged in their preparation work and are making good progress. I was also quite impressed with the enthusiasm of the JCSC staff in providing assistance to the partner organisations.
